My therapist was a supposed Division I athlete. I am a former Division II athlete. Take my word for it, the actual "real therapist" when I actually was allowed to talk to him and ask him some rehab questions was clueless about my sport, he tried to bluff his way through my questions. They were not really helping me, I got more from watching Youtube videos.

One last thought. If the workers comp people approve this place, and make you go there since they are paying for your care, its like the insurance companies that send you to "preferred repair shops" when your car is messed up in a wreck. Think about it!!!!!

I was here (St. Helens, Therapeutic Associates, from a workers comp doctor, as they are on workers comp's approved list) for a bad knee injury I suffered at an extra part-time job (besides my actual job-job) I tried out to make some extra money. I made it clear to these people I was not going back to the part-time job after rehab as the chance of getting hurt was not worth the money to get hurt this bad. As soon as I met the minimum to even walk without a brace, they sent me back to work saying I was fit for full duty. I told them my knee still hurt real bad and it "felt weird." They said, yeah, that's normal, it will get better in time, you won't be doing any permanent injury, just work through it and they got rid of me like a bad habit.

Not taking their word for it, because my knee kept swelling up after I stood on it for more than 5 minutes, thank goodness I have other insurance from my military retirement. I went to another doctor and guess what, to make a long-story short, I was MRI'd again, put off work for another 3 months, and as of this working I have just been placed on full duty back to work.

If you are a serious athlete avoid this place. There are other places around town/Columbia County that are far superior to these folks. There is a place downtown St. Helens. And the money stays local, unlike these McDonalds like operation. My "therapist" was some kid here on training, the kid was supposed to be supervised by a licensed doctor of physical therapy (a supposed Division I athlete). The sessions were terrible as the kid had to keep running to the licensed physical therapist for every little thing or question I asked.
