Friendly staff. Pushy on new accounts.
I have been a Wells Fargo customer for over 18 years, my complaint about this bank is why does these bank teller that require demand anyone a customer to open an bank account to cash a cashier check written by Wells Fargo online banking? I recently bought a home out past St. Helens, Oregon, up High way 30, I have a friend living or staying at my new home of residents because, am away from Oregon working in Alaska. instead of writing out a personal check and putting a stamp on the check and putting in the US Mail for postage, I went onto my Bill pay i had the BANK WRITE OUT THE CHECK AND MAILED OUT TO THE PERSON SO THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TO DRIVE AROUND TRIP TO PORTLAND TO CASHED A CASHIER CHECK BY THE BANK, during the time my friend was trying to cash the check the bank teller and the branch manager was asking him to open a account! my friend doesn't want to open an account PERIOD! as they look upon the the check they told him that the address and STATE DRIVE LICENSE didnt match the check!!!! they asked him for two pieces of ID but he only carriers his DRIVE License and his Social Security card the lady pulled out his SSC out of his wallet HE asked her what the hell our you doing touching my wallet@ she said to him am sorry but since your address doesn't match on the check we have to do this!!!!! well my friend pulled the check and his ID told them to GO TO HELL! AND DROVE all the way into Portland to Wells Fargo branch on SE 82th AND Foster Rd. with out any questions but asking for state ID they cashed the check!!!!! i recommend not doing business with St Helens Wells Fargo branch because the women that our running that branch or stupid!!!!!both wells fargo national and wells fargo online bank had no reason why my friend couldn't cash a check written by the bank it self!

VERY HIGH PRESSURE! NOT RECOMMENDED. I went into cash a check a friend had written, that was from this bank. They had, at one time, THREE different ladies trying to convince me and or pressure me into opening an account, in which they would keep $100 of the money in their bank. I kept asking them to cash the check and they kept pursuing my business from different angles, with different agents. Even after I told them I was in a hurry, they kept pushing and telling me "It doesn't take long to open an account, step into the office!' Also note that the constant beeping of the cash registers in the Safeway were distracting and hypnotic. Not into noisy environments or pushy sales? I don't recommend this bank.
The most inconvenient bank I've ever dealt with. Why they don't have a regular stand alone bank, is inexcusable. You have to fight the crowd at Safeway to use the ATM,or see a teller. I'll be switching to the US Bank, no matter how much hassle it is. I moved out here several years ago, and kept Wells Fargo for my banking, BIG MISTAKE.
Been to this branch quite a few times as I always need quarters for laundry. Always treated well, helpful and friendly staff.
